Another Highly Subjective Best Places to Invest in Real Estate List of 2022 to be taken with a healthy dose of “Huh?”

Every January a variety of publications assembles a variety of best places list, from where to invest, to best cities to live, to best places to retire, etc. While most have compelling reasons and legitimate criteria they use to assemble the lists, the final order is always highly subjective, so the key takeaway: Take each authors opinion with a healthy dose of salt.

This best places list was published January 25th by Yahoo sponsored by GoBankingRates, and it was based on a panel of unnamed “real estate experts.” I reprint it here because it is the first list that includes both Austin Texas and Newark New Jersey, so I was piqued by its geographic diversity. But quite honestly, I have no idea how they included half the entrants on this list. So Without further ado, the top ten best places to invest in 2022 according to author Casey Bond are:
